Great patio fireplace : Weber 2726 Wood Burning Fireplace
I found this product seminar while looking for parts for my 31 year old Weber Firepit. looking for parts....not to replace it. That pretty much says it all. I think we've gotten out money's worth out of this phenomenal fire pit. It's still going strong! I don't want to replace it. The "clam" is still intact and working well....and we use ours year round. While new ones are only $149.00, mine only needs a merge of parts to make it like new again. The first thing to go was the heat deflector. It was a petite less sturdy than the rest and it got dented and the holes stripped from using and spellbinding it so much. That's okay because we use it on a cement patio and in the cement driveway and we undoubtedly haven't needed it. And remember....it's a heat deflector....Not An Ash Catcher. It undoubtedly does work pretty well but with or without it, if you burn a fire in your grass yard, you will have a bare spot there for a long while. I know that from experience after my son and his friends had some fun in the yard one night. Ha! The next thing to go were the wooden handles. They get undoubtedly hot and only lasted maybe 10 years. imagine that! Only 10 years!! I just use gloves now. No problem. Next, the riser rusted out (mine was bought so long ago that it must have been made out of galvanized steel instead of aluminum) at a seam at about year 10 or 15. I undoubtedly kept using it for about 5 more years until it just became too unstable. No problem. We have fires without the top now and use the top to snuff out fires and to keep it dry. Note that ours has been surface in the elements for over 3 decades and I am sitting here looking for parts.....not a replacement....just parts! It just keeps on going and going and going! So, if I call Weber, I think I can buy a new riser. That's undoubtedly all I need. If you are looking for a long chronic fire pit, look no further! Buy this one!Please Check Update Here!!
